Every single one of them -- from Escobar to Mercouris and beyond -- talks like it'll just mean countries swapping each other's weather and some cute animals dying out, and we'll just get used to it because we'll still want cars, holidays, and the right to waste. If the hydrocarbon lobby was running a controlled opposition operation to get us all fired up about political activism and alternative media that *led straight back to oil and gas*, it would look exactly like all these people shrieking about "Green fanatic Robert Habeck", "unreliable wind and solar power", "the UK's energy policy being determined by a 14-year-old girl", and so on. Our ecosphere's survival even in the short term is completely impossible. And you can thank these people for removing the only shred of possibility there ever was. M.
