Clive Myrie: "[The news came] as Liz Truss was making a rather important statement concerning the future of energy bills. That, of course, insignificant now, given the gravity of the situation we seem to be experiencing with Her Majesty.."
[awkward pause]
Damian Grammaticas: 'Well certainly overshadowed by that announcement from the palace'
Jonathan Cook comments: 'Please take this moment to study, really study, the journalists working for the BBC, ITV and Ch4. Do they seem like fearless, independent, objective observers of the world, or more like fawning courtiers? This is the moment when the mask slips. Drink it in deeply...' - https://twitter.com/Jonathan_K_Cook/status/1567970286154162179?cxt=HHwWhoCxyd6qxsIrAAAA
Nice to see their priorities laid out so clearly. I'm sure that will be a motive for wall-to-wall coverage of this in the msm, to take the bite out of any unrest as a result of the price hikes. Reminds me of that quote from some priest about how queen victoria's coronation was brilliant because 'we haven't heard anything about socialism lately' (approx). I'm sure a state funeral will and endless prattle about Charles will serve the same purpose just as well...
