Now, now Keith, Tim's not nice to Greta which may cause upset to some. Archived Message

I've shared this on Twitter, such a shame more people don't read Tim's material, which is extensive and stretches back to early 2016. Of course, Tim gives it with both barrels to neoliberals and those painting faces with green face balm without a genuine understanding what they are discussing, such as renewables, which can never replace the energy we've derived from fossil fuels. Of course, the green face balm brigade will bang on about renewables, wind power and solar as if they offer a panacea, they don't for many reasons, but making out they are 'Green' does make me vomit given the ecological destruction associated with their manufacture. Anyhow, now's a good time to share a paper by Simon Michaux that pours cold water on the corporate Green machine as far as Europe is concerned and transitioning to renewables, which, as serious ecologists point out can never replace FFS pound for pound, hence calls for managed de-growth: https://tupa.gtk.fi/raportti/arkisto/16_2021.pdf
