    The forgotten 9/11 at least when it comes to the msm.

    On a slightly related note, I recentl started reading, and very quickly discarding, "Kleptopia" by Tom Burgis which had rave reviews and is supposedly about, "... the dirty money that is flooding the global economy, emboldening dictators, enriching oligarchs and poisoning democracies."

    However, in only the first few chapters I kept finding these ridiculous framings that were increasingly annoying. This one was the final straw:

    Augusto Pinochet, Henry Kissinger’s man in America’s backyard, had spent decades bolstering Chile as a Pacific sandbag against the red tide. He had overthrown Salvador Allende – a particularly dangerous leftie, having been elected.

    WTF?

    I couldn't take any more (this was about the tenth similar example in five chapters) and abandoned ship.
