...but decides to stay on, because of the idea that having left voices on a corporate news platform is valuable. Also accepting management claims that she wouldn't be censored on the topic too, going forward. Hmmm... Doesn't hurt your career either, does it?

Amusingly they titled buried her statement in a vid titled 'Energy WAR? OPEC+ Slashes Oil Production, Gas Prices Expected To Spike AGAIN: Brie & Robby React'. I had to search for it on the hill channel via the above vids, eventually finding it with a keyword search for 'opec':

I think she should have left. They played their hand and showed who they were - already in the case of Kim Iversen. Gray's analysis that it was purely ideological is clearly accurate. Why would she expect it to play out differently in the future? And how can you say you're free in your reporting when you always have that threat hanging over you? Looked at in this light her statement isn't a brave declaration of principle but a capitulation, agreeing to keep taking corporate cash, fancy production values and a boost on the youtube algorithm in return for laundering their grubby image and bringing in thousands of viewers.

She could have handled it worse, I suppose...
