Ofcom/RT Due Impartiality piece now up Archived Message

Finally got round to putting this up on t'interwebs. I sent it round to the usual indie media outlets but got no replies, so up on the ol' blog it goes:

    https://tinyurl.com/yrcxn8jx

(Tinyurl because of trying to keep a bit of a firewall between my various internet hangouts.)

It's in three parts with all the beeb vids in part 2 - click on through... It's pretty much the same as the first draft posted up here - https://members5.boardhost.com/xxxxx/msg/1660238308.html with a few cosmetic edits, hyperlinks included and a reworked conclusion to part 3. Hopefully it'll be of use to someone or at least be there as a record to refer back to as & when needed.

I got a message from the Internal Reviews Team at Ofcom saying that my email had been fwded to the Standards and Audience Protection (SAP) team which had been behind the decision to revoke RT's license, and later heard from them acknowledging receipt of my message and that 'We will respond to your enquiry as soon as possible'. That was on October 3rd, nothing since. Maybe time to follow it up? Still not holding my breath...

    cheers,
    I
