    That's just awful writing! It's all so clumsy and pious. These Guardian types are brazenly self-righteous and self-satisfied. Their like self-parody of all that's most obnoxious and irritating about ghastly 'liberal lefties.'

    The point is, surely, that the problem with Twitter censorship, which the Guardian writer tellingly avoids, is that it functions as a parallel blunt instrument, weilded by an inqusition that's not accountable or subject to review or appeal. Legal Limits to freedom of speech already exist and the courts administer them and there's the burde of proof hurdle for those wishing to proscribe speech/views. But that isn't enough for Twitter. They want an extrajudical system of sanctions aimed at transgressors. That 'liberals' in the bloody Guardian are now openly arguing for extra-judical censorship of freedom of speech for individuals who haven't actually broken the law, is ####ing extraordinary.
