Either that or I have been transported into an alternative universe without using Dr Who's phone box.

Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s complicity with Russian President Vladimir Putin in violating a Saudi-US agreement to lower oil prices underscores a simple reality ..

Someone please remind me about this Saudi-US agreement. I thought that Bidet went to see MBS and came away empty-handed. What gives?

Its current mission appears to be to knee-cap the world’s last chance to avoid climate catastrophe

Whaaat! The westies want to lower the oil price because they care about climate change? Some sort of upside down logic : /. Delusional doesn't cover it ..

The rising tide of electric cars and trucks will dramatically reduce demand for crude in the decades to come.

He must be kidding. The production of these electric cars (and trucks!?) depends on fossil fuel, be it natgas or crude. Windmills ain't gonna hack it. And secondly, when he inserts trucks in there, he is definitely highly delusional since for normal heavy transportation one cannot handle large loads using electric batteries. The batteries would probably outweigh the load carried etc.

[Someone posted an article here about the current use of diesel for heavy transportation which floored me .. where the batteries as a substitute for these was mentioned - an impossible task. I wish I saved the link ..]

OCAT could also purchase oil to fill its strategic reserves from oil fields with the lowest climate pollution. This would reward greener oil producers and encourage effective measures to curb climate pollution. In such a market US shale would likely serve as the swing producer. US shale is highly competitive, with the ability to gear up and tamp down production quickly, making it ideally suited to help stabilize a managed oil market.

So, in essence, he is touting US shale. Presumably as that greener oil producer. What has he been smoking? Shale oil production is about as toxic as you can get.

I think even S*n churnalists would do better than this WaPo misinformation rag. Truly astonishing.

I could go on, but truly, I lost the will to live reading this ..
