A central question is, will Poland intervene to stop the Russians defeating Ukraine in the coming months? Poland could move into western Ukraine, Galicia. Galicia was part of Poland after WW1, when Austria collapsed. Prior to that Galicia had been part of Austria/Hungary since the 18th century. During WW2 hundreds of thousands of Jews and Poles were massacred by the Germans and Ukrainians. After WW2 hundreds of thousands of Poles left Galican and were forced west into Poland when the borders shifted. So, there are virtual no Poles in Galicia today. Will the US send in their Screaming Eagles into Ukraine from Rumania? This is an expeditionary force and arguably no match for a far bigger and better armed Russian army. This could end very badly for the US. Do they really want to get into a very bloody war with the Russians in Ukraine, where the outcome is more than doubtful?
