Whatever, I'll be wrong - the important thing is that we acknowledge the anti-democratic media storm existed and deal with it because it'll happen again and again. It's worth remembering the positive aspects of corbyn - in the early stages, his general likeability, relative normal-ness, solid principles, and lack-of-charisma-based charisma facilitated that initial surge in popularity (that made them panic and do the media storm) - without that space being opened up we wouldn't be having this sort of conversation. Which other candidate who you think would have had more political nous would also have had those qualities to get that popular surge to start with? (mick Lynch wasn't[t on offer) - it was a surprising and unexpected thing that happened which is why they all shat themselves - accidentally or otherwise, corbyn opened up political possibilities that seemed very remote before that - it seems churlish not to acknowledge that - regardless of how he may have vacillated in the face of the smearing etc and arguably messed it up (some may say), that all still happened, and loach is right to bemoan the attempted editing of these ideas/possibilities from the public consciousness.
