Educate us please: did he become less (geo)political/edgy with age ? Archived Message

A little disconcerting to see even the BBC lavishing in-memoriam laudits(no mention of any edgy activism):

    BBC:

"..he was a huge fan of Crystal Palace Football Club and became an Associate Director in 2012."

"Crystal Palace's first team will walk out to Faithless as they take on Fulham at Selhurst Park in the Premier League on Boxing Day, the club's chairman wrote on Twitter."

"Steve Parish added: "Desperately sad to hear the news that we lost Maxi this morning. He was such a huge talent, a massive supporter of the club in every way and just a wonderful kind-hearted man."

"He made the world dance, sing and laugh and someone I was privileged to call a friend. RIP Maxi."

    - So far, all the tributes I've found make no mention of any brave, political or geopolitical activism or mission. It's all about his unique style of jazz, funk, electronica etc. And his passion and support for Crystal Palace FC.

So - was he ultimately much more than just a talented musician/entertainer? Compared to, say, Roger Waters and Lowkey?

I see that Lowkey has paid a brief apolitical tribute.

Don't misinterpret my question - I am simply asking for help finding evidence that his geopolitical engagement and edge didn't fade with age, increasing success, popularity...and his passion for Crystal Palace - on the Board as an "Associate Director".
