I think another massively important factor is the steady and unrelenting clampdown in the media, going back at least to th Falkland's War, of dissent. The opposition and demonstrations at the time of the Iraq War, must never happen again. So, the media is now under almost complete stat control. This means that the public aren't given any opportunity to access anything critcal that might undermine the war w are mired in. Who blinded the masses and then complains that they cannot see? War is the death of democracy! s
