About the New Year tragedy in Makiivka, Donetsk At 00.01 on 1 January 2022, three HIMARS rockets struck the vocational school building in Makiivka, Donetsk. The building had housed several hundred soldiers from the 14444 regiment since mid-December. Yes, they were all mobilised. Someone else's criminal naivety decided to house the ammunition depot there, which detonated as a result of the strike. ▪️With our information, there were about 600 people in total in the building. ▪️Confirmed casualties are around 70. Clearance of the rubble continues. The mobilised claim responsibility lies with regimental commander Colonel Roman Yenikeyev. Unfortunately after the death of General Roman Kutuzov, they neglected common sense and intelligence for the sake of military science and expediency.
