Like SueC I too have a problem with DJ's lazy stereotyping of Phillips as being "from oop north" and "fooking" this and "fooking" that. For one thing Northerners don't rhyme "looking" (as in luke-ing) with f u c king (which they pronounce as f-u-k-k-ing). And they don't say "Upe North" either, whatever dialect that's supposed to be. And while we're about it, Phillips isn't from "the North" (as Sue points out) she's from the Midlands. It's as ignorant and ill-informed to say she is as it is to lump all "Southerners" together whether they're from the Home Counties, East Anglia or the West Country.
