Is this real, or is it a spoof, a parody of BBC/Guardian style wokeness?

If it isn't, it's an incredibly superficial and primitive view about how the great wheels of history and warfare turn in human society. It's like he believes that the British Empire was uniquely bad and deserves to admit its guilt and accpet blame for actions that occurred centuries ago. Harry is 'woke' and a bit thick too. An unfortunate mix.

When I was in Rome recently, I joked with an Italian friend that it was surely high time that Italians apoligized to the French for Julius Caesar's bloody campaign of conquest in Gaul! A campaign he was roundly criticised for at the time by the Roman Senate. It's was deemed unlawful and too expensive. That is until the gold and slavess started to arrive back in Rome and he was awarded a Triumph by his home town.

The point is, surely, that 'imperialism' and war, conquest, are a fundamental and integral part of human civilization. They've beenaround for an awfully long time and always will be around. War is not going anywhere! Harry, ppor thing, like many woke folk, seems to believ in the idea of 'progress', when, in reality, not a lot changes. The 'stage' changes, but the 'characters' remain more-or-less constant.
