The lack of quality in the political class is strikingly poor. It's a slow-motion train wreck. The end of an era. The Thatherite model falling to pieces. Downed, finally, by its own contradictions and crass deficiencies, hollow illusions and ghastly dogmas. Now the axe is coming for the middle class. Their turn to see their living standards and conditions slashed to the bone. I wonder if they'll just accept it passively and without organized resistance?
