Like the ignorant arseholes at the Guardian, these people know next to nothing and what they do know is compleley wrong! Years ago I explained in excruciating detail, that there were no allegations of rape by the two women involved with Assange, and the 'evidence' of any sexual 'misconduct' was so thin, weak, contradictory and unprovable in court, that there would never be a trial in Sweden at all, or substantial charges, because nothing unlawful had occurred in the first place. The case was so weak that Assange wasn't even charged with anything, so a trial was close to imposssible in the circumstances. This, is what acutally happened in the end in Sweden, but the damage was done to Assange's reputation already and that was the whole point. The Swedes knew for years, from the beginning that there was no case against Assange that would lead to charges or a trial, because there was no evidence that a crime had actually been committed under Swedish law. But try explaining that to the pig ignorant ####ers at the Guardian!
