Of course he was convicted of a crime himself, so he is tainted. He was twice "caught" soliciting a (police posing) supposedly underage girl on the internet. Once not charged, another time imprisoned. There is quite a long explanation of this matter from Scott Ritter himself which I found on the internet a few days ago, I can't find it now. He strongly asserts his innocence and believes he's been "stung" Perhaps not that dissimilar to Julian Assange. This defence certainly is not beyond rationality. He was obviously wrong to behave the way he did but there seems to have been a very strong police enticement. . So no-one in the MSM will touch him with the microphone at 60 metres. Much as no-one will interview Jeremy Corbyn as an anti-Semitic and Putin apologist. He's damaged goods. Similar with Alexander Mercouris, unfortunately, he's a struck-off barrister. These histories give the media a further excuse to be better able to keep contrary opinion at bay.
