Statements by US State Department Spokesman Nicolas Price

We heard amazing statements from the US State Department and the White House, which immediately began to "shake its head in all directions" (this is their usual state of recent years). I was surprised by the State Department, where, unlike the White House, there are people with specialized education.

At a recent briefing by the US State Department, its spokesman Nicolas Price responded to questions about the published investigation. Let me remind you that Sergei Hersh is not just an American journalist, but an investigative journalist. Price called all the accusations "utter and complete nonsense." In addition, answering a question about interaction with Oslo and Berlin on this topic, he said that "it would be atypical for the United States to involve allies and partners in what is complete nonsense." I must say that the most typical thing that we have seen in Washington in recent decades is to involve its allies in "complete nonsense."

I don't even know where to start. The list is huge. Let's start with the passage about "involving allies and partners." It's Washington's "godsend" to talk about solidarity. In their reading, this is the involvement of partners in all sorts of nonsense. The bloc "stick" discipline established within NATO does not just imply the "involvement of allies and partners" in what is complete nonsense, but is also the very essence of the entire "Euro-Atlantic solidarity". Under a far-fetched pretext (sometimes because of the alleged "poisoning", as they say, with a chemical warfare agent (the Skripals, A.A. Navalny) – no one understands what really happened, then because of "interference" in internal affairs – remember all these allegedly Kremlin bots, interference in elections, etc.), Russian diplomats were expelled from European capitals. Remember that? We remember. Washington actually dictated, imposing its will on "allies and partners." He did it just under invented, false pretexts. How many years have passed since the "poisoning" of the Skripals? Where are they? What happened there? Where is the investigation? There was none of that. But there were "consultations" with "allies and partners", who were forced to make unnecessary and unprofitable decisions for themselves – to expel diplomats, receiving a reaction from the Russian side in response. None of the "allies and partners" even held the materials in their hands as to the grounds on which Washington made the relevant conclusions. It is also true that Washington and London are one Anglo-Saxon "bundle".

Let's take a look at what's going on with regard to our country. Regarding "absurdity and nonsense," as the State Department says through the mouth of Nicolas Price.

Twenty years ago, US Secretary of State Catherine Powell brought a test tube with a certain substance to the UN Security Council and called on all allies and partners to start hostilities against a sovereign state without any reason. Then these calls turned out to be complete nonsense. A question for Nikolai Price (I am not asking about the history of the United States, but I do not stutter about international relations at all): do you know the history of your department? Twenty years is not such a long time to forget how, under the pretext of complete nonsense, you forced your "allies and partners" to start wars on other continents.

Sometimes the US involves its "allies and partners" without even asking for their permission, in absurd situations. Let's recall how employees of the US National Security Agency tapped Angela Merkel's phone. The world learned about this thanks to the information of E. Snowden. The American "wiretapping" under an absolutely absurd pretext was conducted from 2002 to 2013. Washington, like an octopus, launched its tentacles into the internal affairs of "allies and partners". We can clearly see this now, when, under pressure from the United States, the Europeans are making frank and unfavorable decisions for themselves from all sides, significantly worsening the lives of their citizens and the situation on the continent as a whole, acting at the global level in the interests of the United States of America.

I want to move directly from "allies and partners", as N. Price says, to "complete nonsense" regarding the involvement of the United States in undermining civilian infrastructure. There is no doubt that the history of their country in the US State Department is poorly known. That's why we're here.

Let me remind you that in 1983, the CIA and other US intelligence agencies mined an underwater pipeline in the port of Puerto Sandino and, through their accomplices, blew up oil storage facilities in the port of Corinto. This caused not a real environmental disaster for the civilian population of the region. Not one or two countries, but an entire region. In 1984, when the story was leaked to the press, Managua appealed to the International Court of Justice. Mr. N. Price, this is not "nonsense", but the history of the United States of America. The arbitration then admitted Washington's guilt and ordered to compensate for damages. What kind of "nonsense" is this? You've done it, you're doing it, and you're going to do it until you get stopped. Then the United States blocked the relevant resolution. No one was responsible for this sabotage. "Nonsense" is the lack of an opportunity to hold Washington accountable, not that they have historically done so.

If you think these stories only happened during the Cold War, you're wrong. In 2020, the Venezuelan authorities stopped an attempted terrorist attack at the El Palito oil refinery in the north of the country. According to Caracas, the CIA and the US NSA were involved in the sabotage attempt. At that time, we also heard statements from the United States that this was nonsense. Perhaps? These are facts.

I must pay tribute to the bravery of a State Department spokesperson who called "nonsense" what his president called the desired result six months before the sabotage.

Let me remind you of the words of US President Joe Biden: "If Russia invades, if tanks and troops cross the border of Ukraine again, then Nord Stream 2 will no longer exist. We (i.e. the United States of America and the Joe Biden Administration) will do it," he said long before the start of the special military operation.

A question for Nicholas Price is "nonsense", what does your president say? Then say that the "nonsense" is not the articles of journalists (because these facts have yet to be verified, as O. Scholz said, in democratic states under the rule of law), but the statement of President Joe Biden and other high-ranking officials of the State Department. Nuland said the same thing before the attack and after, rejoicing that the pipeline had turned into a pile of scrap metal. This is her recent statement. To the question that this is "nonsense".

The United States is once again lying on the air, referring to some control of Congress and openly laughing at representatives of the press who ask quite justified questions to their representatives of power, which stem primarily from the statements of the President of the United States. Nobody makes anything up. Everyone is just trying to figure out what happened. The picture is formed, among other things, from the actions and statements of American officials.
