Which Ukrainians should we listen to? The ones who worship Bandera? The ones who participated in or supported the coup d'etat of 2014 which removed a legitimately elected President? The ones living in the Donbas who've been shelled and bombed by Kiev government forces since the putsch? The ones who see Russia as a liberator? The ones who've fled to Russia? Anyone, no matter what their 'leftish' credentials, who fails to grasp that Ukraine is, and always has been, a deeply divided society doesn't have a lot worth listening to on this issue. No nation can stand when one part of the population venerates as a national hero a man whose followers sought to murder an older generation of the other half.
