Plus various "visual displays of support for Ukraine". Mind you, international rugby has long been on the wrong side in disputes. One remembers the Lions touring South Africa at the height of the anti-apartheid struggle. And only recently there was the sorry spectacle of Twickenham Rugby ground - the so-called home of English rugby - hosting an arms' fair to get a few quid. Israel was in attendance with it's "battle-tested" weapons. Tested, in many instances, on the flesh of Palestinian women and kids by the "only democracy in the Middle East". I shall have the remote handy to silence the TV at the appropriate moment. Seems a mite odd to silence a minute's silence. Talk about an indication of powerlessness. But one must work with the tools one has available.
