No, they were being specifically targeted (picked out) for weaponization as Terrorists then for training as terrorists (at a foreign base) and THEN, after that was accomplished, allowed to travel back to the UK. That is what happened without any minimization. The ends justified the means, and the British government, like crack addicts, once they got their hit were unable to sense anything except euphoria. We are talking about, frankly, the terrorism department of the UK government. To people like this, I am absolutely sure, 22 people dead somewhere in Manchester has always been no more than a PR issue. And it has been dealt with as such: Offload it to folks able to deal with PR then on with business as usual. Which is what “national security issue” actually means. It means “we are doing sh1t, and we don’t want it stopped”. “Never forgive” (from a victim’s mother) is the appropriate response.
