Yes, you were right. The misspelt and poorly phrased BBC response to my complaint. Archived Message

I complained to the BBC that a 'live' report on the BBC news channel at noon on 25 February stated that Russia had suffered twice the number of deaths and casualties as Ukraine. I asked for sources the reporter had used for this information. This is their shoddy reply.

[By the way, I DID give them sufficient information to trace the programme: BBC News Channel, noon, 25 February. What more do they need?]

We are sorry to hear you had concerns in relation to a report on the number of causalities in the war in Ukraine.

Unfortunately however, we will not be able to address your specific concerns as we were unable to find the report in question. If you could provide more details on where you seen this take place, like the name of the programme, time of day, the name of the reporter or any information you have, would be helpful.

This means we could review the footage and address your concerns, providing a more detailed and considered response.

To do this, please contact us using the BBC Complaints website, including the case number above so we can pick up where we’ve left off.

In the meantime, we do value your feedback about this. All complaints are sent to senior management and we’ve included your points in our overnight report. These reports are among the most widely read sources of feedback in the company and ensures that your concerns have been seen by the right people quickly. This helps inform their decisions about current and future content.

Thank you again for contacting us.
