Jim, I note you are pushing sodium batteries, which is not something new I'm afraid. However, are you seriously suggesting that sodium batteries can somehow salvage the global ecology as acting as a storage medium for energy, i.e., we can store all excess wind and solar generated electricity in said batteries, which is pie in the sky stuff. The only, genuine, storage medium for excess electricity generation is pumped hydro, and that is only feasible in certain geographical locations, such as Wales, Norway and a few other mountainous regions globally. In a nutshell, presently no technological fix exists to replace human reliance on fossil fuels, as such, maybe best to embrace managed de-growth rather than push fantasy.
