Dershowitz fights publication of critic's book July 10, 2005 BOSTON The University of California Press has made some changes to a forthcoming book after Harvard Law School professor Alan Dershowitz objected to some claims in the book. The book claimed some of Dershowitz’s works are plagiarized. Dershowitz sent letters to University of California Press officials trying to persuade them not to publish the book at all. Instead, the book will no longer include author Norman Finkelstein’s claim that Dershowitz did not write The Case for Israel nor will it use the word “plagiarize” in its argument that the law professor borrowed from another work. Lynn Withey, director of the press, says the edits in Beyond Chutzpah: On the Misuse of Anti-Semitism and the Abuse of History were NOT based on Dershowitz’s complaints, just on a desire to get things right. https://www.normanfinkelstein.com/dershowitz-fights-publication-of-critics-book/ |
