    I suppose it had some worthwhile historical narrative with numbers, but it is a very USA-centric story. From my perspective South Korea has been a ship-building giant in the 'west' .. say, in the noughties and perhaps is still the largest. China and RF were at it as well, comparatively.

    Martyanov talks about these .. except to say that China is a relative minnow in comparison to RF (especially subs) and nowhere near US (again subs).

    Not to mention hypersonics here directly is unforgivable. All US naval assets are basically sitting ducks in a conflict. Subs are excluded here although China has managed to put one US sub out of action relatively recently by putting an underwater 'mountain' in front of it in the Straights : ).
