Still, listening to the BBC, one really doesn't get an inkling of what's really happening on the battlefield at the frontline. For them, it's information gahtered from the Ukrainian officials and always the Ministry of Defence 'says' in London. It's truly pathetic and the main source of disinformation. The Ukrainians are being pushed into launching an offensive towards Crimea, in a last desperate gamble to embarrass the Russians and topple Putin, if they can reach Crimea, which is highly doubtful. They can barely hold ground when they are in fortified villages and towns, but if they are forced into advancing across open country they'll be incredibly vulnerable and suffer massive loses. 300 dead is a massiv figure. It probably means they've suffered a million wounded on top. Probably 10 times the Russian loses. Virtually the entire NATO Ukrainian army they spent a decade on, is gone. Replacing them at this stage isn't easy. So, continuing the war is futile from a Ukrainian perspective, unless one believes in 'miracles' like NATO troops, hundreds of thousands of them, intervening, in the next few weeks to avoid a total collapse of the entire Ukraine project.
