I think the Greens, across Europe should emphatically condemn this proposed British action, on environmental grounds alone, if they can't be bothered to do the brainwork to do it on other grounds. Thunberg could point out that the single most wasteful and environmentally damaging institution we've created, is the military, and that, arguably the single biggest polluter on the planet is the US military. So, if one did want to do something radical and effective to 'save the planet', and it's a low hanging fruit, one should actively oppose military spending. Most of the Greens though, seem oddly reluctant to take a firm position on any of this. Appart from the Irish Greens. Why is that? I'd like to see Lukas, the single Green MP in Westminster condemn the UK government for planning to send uranium ammunition to Ukraine, or any of that Labour shower, who pretend to be on the left.
