Your "Corbyn et al should have built a new party". No it's the FPTP system wot needs "jettisoning" Archived Message

I often wonder what percentage of Corbyn-bashers and myopic little-picture scapegoaters even now would vote AGAINST (real ie. STV) Proportional Representation thereby continuing to disenfranchise millions of us who still have noone to vote for. A "protest vote" is obviously an almost oxymoronic insult to the intelligence - a term dreamt up to promote the idea/illusion that even under FPTP it's still jolly spiffingly worthwhile doing your patriotic pointless duty and eagerly heading for the ballot box every 4 years. So: all those in favour of genuine PR please say "Ay". How's about the new Independent Corbyn - will he finally start campaigning loudly, passionately and evangelically for real PR ? Top of the agenda please JC. PR would certainly create millions of "splitters" and defectors who're finally able to meaningfully vote for someone and a party that doesn't insult their intelligence 24/7/365.
