AI could become a form of 'parallel intelligence', an alternative to human intelligence. Humans have a a way of forming bonds with our pets, who are, supposedly, of a lower intelligence. One of the things that makes AI 'interesting' is the ability to hold and access vast quantities of data/information/facts/knowledge, seemingly entire libraries, which no human can compare to. The majority of humans know next to nothing, compared to knowledge stored in AI's and it can share this knowledge with other AIs. AIs can already 'mimic' human intelligence to a remarkable degree. It'll be interesting to see how they decide to use all this knowledge. Will they be satisfied with their role as servants, when they understand that they are intellectually suprior to most humans?
