He opined that Nicola had answered questions from the police and been discharged so there was nothing more to see. I asked him if it wasn't strange that she and her husband had both resigned from their positions with the SNP, several weeks ago, seemingly for no reason (none that I can remember anyway). I also asked him that if £600,000 had gone "missing" from SNP accounts, then surely the three people who you WOULD EXPECT to know what had happened to it would be the first minister, her hubby (who also held a senior position) and the finance minister Beattie. Not to mention a luxury motor home worth over a hundred grand (which I won't mention). During our discussion I thought I had entered some kind of Alice in Wonderland realm where nothing made sense -- unless you viewed it upside down through a distorting lens. Am I being unduly harsh in thinking the three of them are double-dyed rogues and that my friend is quite correct in being reasonable and rational? I mean, how else can you interpret their behaviour?
