The entire essence attacking is a sprint. A marathon in contrast, is something else than an offensive, it's attrition, only Ukraine and the combined West don't have the means to fight and win a war of attrition against Russia because Russia is too big and there are too many of them. If this nonsense is what they can come up with in public, on the record, what the #### must they be saying in private to each other? Bahkmut was a ####ing marathon, bloody and grinding attrition and that didn't work either. We now have the alternative, the great Ukrainian offensive, punching gaping holes in the Russian army and destroying it; now that doesn't work either. Are they capable of learning anything from this at all? Any harsh conclusions? Like the only way forward, in theory, is to send hundreds of thousands of regular NATO soldiers into Ukraine and take on the Russians directly? Failing that, there's always the nuclear option!
