Yes, the whole issue with John Rees is odd. He reckons that Stop The War Coalition and the MPs he introduced were supporting Julian Assange from the start. No they weren't. The only MP that supported the campaign from way back was Chris Williamson.
It's great that these people have come onboard – the more the merrier. But these (so-called Lefty) MPs hopped onboard quite recently.
I've just looked up John Rees' website 'Don't Extradite Assange' on whois. It was created on 2019.10.11 (more than 7 years after Julian entered the Ecuadorian Embassy). I remember talking with someone involved in the campaign who asked Corbyn (quite a few years ago) to support the campaign – he turned his back on him and ignored him. Now Corbyn speaks at pro-wikileaks rallies. I think the word 'opportunist' comes to mind.
Even more serious is the fact that a lot of the people I used to meet at Julian Assange events years ago aren't anywhere to be seen now. So what's happened?
Sashimi – the photos are great. I like the one with Stella and the two boys. I had a lot of problems with contrast; the sun was so strong. And it was nice to almost meet you again!
