    Is that any surprise? Surely that's the whole idea. The "people" get a vote every few years for one of the few shades of grey that are allowed to be marketed which leaves them once again disappointed when the greyest one wins yet again.
    The manufactured apathy is systemic and there to convince you that the "democracy thing" is all a waste of time and indeed in its present form that's mainly true.

    Politics is actually what the lobbyists, corporations and zealous billionaires decide will happen behind closed doors; how it to should be sugar coated to get the public to swallow it as a "good idea" and what willing shitbag they can co-opt to present it & do their bidding... Oh! and how cheap he/she comes.

    -Kitchens are far more interesting: decisions can be made and executed and indeed colour is involved...
