I felt quite a bit of sympathy for him, or, more precisely the movement/wave that lifted him up to a position, leader of the Labour Party, that he was unsuited for and never desired. Corbyn's qualities have always been linked to 'morality' and 'protest'. He happier marching and giving speeches to demonstrations, than maneuvering for power inside the confines of Westminster. Speaking at demonstrations is... easy because one is addressing a friendly audience and there's no one to ask awkward questions, compared to the House of Commons. Corbyn isn't sharp enough intellectually and has limited rhetorical skills. It's is conceit and ego that keeps him going. I only understood just how 'arrogant' he was, after I saw a very sympathetic interview with him, where, feeling 'at home' and comfortable, he came across as a bit thick and self-satisfied and almost totally lacking in insight into his failings and responsibility in leading the left towards disaster. He should retire from frontline politics, gracefully, and allow younger and more competent people take over his role.
