    Prince William and Kate "distraught" over killings on both sides in Middle East Archived Message

    The BBC and others are flagging up this statement as "unprecedented" for a royal to comment on a contentious issue. First of all, it isn't contentious. It's outright genocidal massacre. That's the plain truth. Second, the statement goes out of its way to mention the deaths "on both sides" so as to give the illusion that there's some sort of parity here, in this so-called "war".

    To be honest, I'm a bit torn. At least William has gone against royal protocol (which his mother would never have done) and probably ignored or rejected the advice of numerous advisors. He's gone about as far as he dare, I guess, and for that must be given some credit. Makes Startmeroid's (The Silent Knight) abject cowardice and moral vacuum even more starkly exposed when a hidebound royal can at least make a gesture of concern at the atrocity unfolding before our eyes.

    Will there be a backlash, I wonder? William out of touch and out of his depth, says the Express. Willie the Woke shooting his mouth off, opines the Mail.
