| Someone who was there while a parent of a client was talking to me told me afterwards that when he made several comments about learning difficulties I contradicted him because I know what i was talking about and he didn't. The observer said afterwards that he'd noticed I was like that, loyal to facts when anyone else would have left the parent talking nonsense because of the possibility that he might complain. I'm not sure that it's the pedantry of my academic training either because I've always been like that, although when someone was doing a crossword and the answer was 'Armadillo' I didn't contradict him when he said 'Armadildo' because I had already added three right answers and was feeling a bit embarrassed about the Sun crossword being too easy. |
