Interesting review, thanks for posting it. 📂 Archived Message Posted by RaskolnikovX on August 23, 2025, 4:15 pm, in reply to "Law and Order (film): Leo Robson" I've had this on the to watch list for a while now and I've seen a lot of other reviews be scathing but it felt like they were pulling that discouraging gatekeeper thing they do sometimes do; "Don't Look Up" got that treatment because of the critique of the media and various other parts of the establishment. It wasn't a great film, but nowhere near as bad as the very organised rubbishing suggested. "Triangle of Sadness" was another that got the treatment, trying to create negative buzz to prevent people even considering watching it. With this I couldn't decide whether it was leftish critics panning it because it was rightish or vice versa (not that there are many real leftish critics in the mainstream anyway). This review has convinced me that it's going to be the main feature on my Saturday night double bill. I thought "Midsommer" was massively overrated and "Hereditary" was decent. I've not seen "Beau" yet but that looks interesting.
