It raises in my mind the question I've asked myself for years. Do institutions like Chatham House -- or Oxbridge! -- exist to allow policy makers and other high-ups access to the actual good information that allows them to make sane and competent decisions, or are they simply well-upholstered mental kindergartens dedicated merely to reinforcing the horseshit narratives that flatter the powerful; whitewash their crimes, and provide ladders for amoral careerists...?
