    Gary Stevenson: Will Reform win the next UK election? 📂 Archived Message

    First time watching this guy, analysis seems pretty solid and an original approach to look at the betting markets in order to understand political trends and make predictions:





    Worth watching to the end for his message to supporters of Reform. I found it curious that he adopted a down-with-the-working-class posture for that segment but not for his message for supporters of any of the other parties, including Your Party (which amusingly receives barely any acknowledgment). Also there doesn't seem to be a critique of Farage et al also being in bed with wealthy elites, and thus having no intention to address economic inequality for the same reasons that none of the others will: their donors will castrate them if they do. The key message from his brother is a good one though: 'Aggressive and relentless pursuit of unity and common ground'. Otherwise, as he puts it in the closing remarks:

    (42:55) [T]hese economic problems that we're seeing in our country of growing inequality, falling living standards, unaffordability of housing, I guarantee you right now, they are affecting people on both sides. And I guarantee you right now, if you guys are not able to aggressively find your common ground and unity, that division will tear this country apart and will destroy the living standards for your futures, your kids and your grandkids.

    So listen, that's my final message. I don't like doing this schoolteacher sh*t. I don't know if it's going to work. But, if you're divided, you will lose. And I'm not saying that just to the Right, I'm not saying that just to the Left, I'm saying that to everyone. If you are divided, you will lose. Every single year, the rich get richer
    and richer and richer and richer. And ordinary people lose their homes. And ordinary families can't afford to have kids, you know. Can't afford to turn the heating on. That is what happens. If you're divided, you will lose. You will spend your time fighting each other and the rich will take everything. You're going to need each other. Don't forget that.'
