There are plenty of videos on You-Tube where McGilchrist goes into detail about his two hemisphere hypothesis. Best bet is to read The Master and His Emissary which goes into considerable detail backed up by extensive research. He relates the neuroscience to various epochs in western culture. For example, he claims the Renaissance was a period where the two brain hemispheres worked in relative harmony. In contrast to the Reformation characterised by an excessive literalism (presumably related to the increased availability of the Bible in the vernacular). I've already listened to the vid with Peterson. I find him irritating as he tends to be so caught up in his own thought processes that he fails to actually listen to his interlocutor. Thanks for your contribution. I hope you get more interested in McGilchrist. I think his hemisphere hypothesis is a very important contribution to understanding ourselves and the times we are living through.
