As for Amess' daughter, I remember commenting at the time that it was a bit ironic that everything she said about pain and suffering she felt at the death of her father and her concern and anger about what Kneecap were alleged to have said only seemed to apply to her and her kind as is invariably the case with these people. She said "To say to kill anybody, what on earth are they thinking" and that she was "gobsmacked at the stupidity of somebody or a group of people being in the public eye and saying such dangerous, violent rhetoric". Well, just for the record, it goes without saying that her father was a staunch member of The Conservative Friends Of Israel (plenty of adulation for him in the Israel media) and a happy voter for airstrikes and bombings of brown people in other countries. He supported violence on an epic scale but that flies over her head. Kneecap said: "Let us be unequivocal: We do not, and have never, supported Hamas or Hezbollah"...sounds like Corbyn. |
