Most likely msm is not interested in getting into the weeds and the alt media might not be informed enough regarding UN procedures. For example, how many delegates does each country have i.e. including helpers and secretaries. My AI tells me more than 100 countries left, but I don't believe it since the UN has 193 member countries. In other words, my AI has scoured the net and failed. Some AIs are better than others .. I guess. Meanwhile one has clear evidence with empty seats etc. The only other evidence might be having a photo of the UN chamber in full session with all the delegates in place, with all the supporting staff, and then compare the two photos and count.
