They are ridiculously easy to fake, prone to being clipped without paying attention to time zones (in the Bondi case) and clearly it's absurd to think they even if "they" were somehow googling their top secret false flag assassin/fall guy before the Charlie Kirk murder, when they got caught out they would continue to google away for some reason because they you know, set up a false flag using someone but they just have to google them to find out who they are? It's just absured on its face. It always starts with one random twitter account that posts an image (but never any data or links) and this gets amplified and then the "data" "disappears" later on.
And this is only a few of the reasons its ridiculous. There are dozens of refutations available online, some much more in depth that my hastily typed post here with detailed data. The spikes can occur with very small search numbers too, that's a big part of it and they can also occur because of some kind of data aggregation.
The easiest thing is the common sense objection; even if they did it with Kirk why would they keep doing it?
Arnaud Bertrand @RnaudBertrand People need to stop with these Google Trends based conspiracies, it's utterly moronic.
For proof there was also a huge spike this week in the number of searches in Tel Aviv for the term "Thorbindralax Quivensomething" (https://trends.google.com/trends/explore?date=now%207-d&geo=IL-TA&q=Thorbindralax%20Quivensomething&hl=en ). Only issue: it's a meaningless term that I just made up and which yields zero search results on Google.
The only thing this proves is that Google Trends is a broken tool with very unreliable data.
There are enough real things Israel can be legitimately blamed for without needing to resort to fabricated nonsense (which only undermines the credibility of legitimate criticism).
