The emetic and unfunny Hugo Rifkind of the 'Times', son of the emetic and disgraced Malcolm Rifkind of the Tories, imagined Corbyn's reaction to being required to attend Parliament on a Saturday: he presented Corbyn as consoling himself with the thought that Saturday is the Jewish Day of Rest, 'So at least that's one in the eye for those bastards'. |
Pure hate. And I don't recall hearing as much as a sodding peep out of fellow-contestant Mark Steel. (Though I happen to know that he did at least have the taste and good sense to be seated at the maximum possible distance from Rifkind.)
