Let's also remember those who died of Covid contracted in our hospitals

At the height of the pandemic, around half the beds in hospitals were empty. The NHS has largely been closed over the last 12 months, replaced by the National Covid Service. Not every doctor or nurse was transferred to a Covid ward. So what were they doing? Let's also think about the number of agency nurses who work in more than one setting and were ideally placed to carry Covid with them and the number of patients who had the misfortune to be in hospital for some other reason but who caught Covid from medical staff and died of it. Let's be a bit more rational about the NHS and its staff.|
