My main conundrum re China's BRI is that although it is salutary that development of 'South' etc. is based on win-win strategy, there is that small : ) item of climate change. My main hope is that it is China that will take the lead on developing economy that is not based on fossil fuel energy. The signs are there e.g. recently commissioning (?) of two thorium reactors and their current work on fusion reactors. It is very unlikely that West will come up with a similar solution via predatory capitalism.
