I note he used the same phrase ish in both articles:
It wasn’t China that sold out generations of yet unborn Americans to feed the military Industrial complex to the tune of nearly a trillion dollars/year. It wasn’t China that bailed out the criminal bankers for trillions more dollars. Money taken from the tax-payers and given to the banks to lend back to the public at interest.
After spending so many years in China he seems likely to know a thing or two about their ways.
My main conundrum re China's BRI is that although it is salutary that development of 'South' etc. is based on win-win strategy, there is that small : ) item of climate change. My main hope is that it is China that will take the lead on developing economy that is not based on fossil fuel energy. The signs are there e.g. recently commissioning (?) of two thorium reactors and their current work on fusion reactors. It is very unlikely that West will come up with a similar solution via predatory capitalism.
