An interference warning is being circulated to MPs and peers claiming that a female Chinese national has been seeking to improperly influence parliamentarians.
It is understood that politicians across the political spectrum may have been targeted in an exercise that has been monitored by MI5 for some time. “This has not been about targeting the government in particular,” a source added.
The suspicion is that the person concerned, who is thought to be based in the UK, is connected to the Chinese state – but the individual concerned is not being expelled or prosecuted.

If its ok for the Israelis to buy your MP then there's obviously no issue with any other country doing it.
In the bent system we have MP's are allowed to Lobby for paying clients. The stipulation is that the result "...must not help to give an exclusive financial benefit to the client": a rule so vague it can be breached with impunity. If the system allows you to hoowr yourself out to foreign states like Israel, then what's the problem?
I thought it curious that he was targeted, knowing that he was a very articulate left wing MP, especially on economic matters (from memory). Cui bono and all that. So, it seems very likely. Ta.
