Were I Ukrainian, I would fight in this war. Were I Russian, I would refuse.

Poor Craig. His Russophobic cardigan is showing. Tell that to Russians burnt to death in Odessa or 14,000 killed in Donbass, and never mind the existential threat from the Empire. Appalling.

What we see here is either a blind spot, a deliberate tailoring of output to create audience, or what's really underneath the cardigan.

I reckon aside from the traditional Brit anti-Russian prejudice, he's caught up in the European bureaucratic world he inhabited where International Law figures and where the principle blame would be squarely laid on the invading nation.

Unfortunately the greatest military and economic power on the planet: the US refuses to recognise any legal system as having superior status over its own, so in effect International Law does not exist. What it is and remains is an aspiration and one which Craig refuses to abandon.

What else could explain his partiality (in principle) to fight this war on the side of a corrupt state riddled with Nazis?
