Haven't finished it yet but might interest some here - dealing with the common trope 'hey, if all the world leaders just took some acid man, then like everything would be cool' - I always thought this was a bit bollocks - psychedelic means mind manifesting - if your mind's full of fascist nonsense then that's what you'll manifest (you'll maybe just be a more chill nazi I guess)

Quite interesting - argues well that psychedelics have no inherent politics, they just manifest whatever mind is taking them - this has been obfuscated by the fact that you would generally be much more likely to be taking psychedelics if you were progressive/lefty, just for historical reasons (eg stuffy conservatives weren't quite so into the lsd and all that in the 60s). This is becoming less the case over time (with muppets like joe rogan being some sort of vanguard of unthinking reactionary psychedelia (is that harsh on rogan? not on a lot of his guests - and he chooses them))
Just to ram the point home, the video contains various posts from storm front etc of nazi/fascist psychonauts - where i might have an ego death and afterwards think 'wow, there's no difference between me and everyone else - i'm connected to all nature - love is the only reality, hurting someeone else would just be hurting myself' yada yada - the nazi might instead think 'wow, i never noticed before just how much control jews have over my media' or 'wow i'm connected to all humanity, and it's my noble duty to help humanity by removing the cancer (eg jews) that is holding it back - it's the compassionaute thing to do'.
I had a trip (do i have to say SWIM?) not long ago that sort of proves the same point - i'd been playing a computer game a few days before that is all about feudalism (Crusader Kings II, great game) and when i took (some legal-ish variation of) acid, my trip was very much based around fedual ideas (it was weird) - now if i didn't know better i might have fallen for the idea that because i saw this on acid, feudalism must be more 'natural' in some way (maybe this is what happened to eg jordan peterson) - as it was i knew it was just because i'd been playing the game for days so it was just regurgitating what was in my head (it was fun though). For balance i've also had communist themed trip fantasies before too.
